My Review of HostGator Hosting Company
Trying to wade through the vast number of hosting companies on the Internet to find the gem that you want for your business can be a real pain. With so many of these companies setting up shop overseas, there are some out there that can take your money and deliver little in return.
Many deliver poor service with too much down time, customer service representatives who don’t care about the company’s reputation (or your business) and fees that keep going up.
In this HostGator Review I intend to show you the difference one company can make in helping entrepreneurs with reliable hosting options.
You might think I am a little biased…. Obviously, if you choose to sign up using my link and HostGator Discount Coupon, I will earn a small referral fee… however, that aside, the main reason I am promoting HostGator and doing this Review is because I have happily used their hosting services for managing my online business for the past 7 years.
So rather than being biased, I am actually speaking from personal experience, and I am extremely happy with their company and the hosting services they provide. Hostgator is outstanding…. With that said….
Onto the HostGator Review…
The company was started by a college student who recognized the need for a hosting company that could offer more to its customers – one that would build a good reputation and create strong ties with the community.
Located in Houston, Texas, this company has proven over the years it’s been in business that they look out for their customers. With their 99.9% uptime, the management within HostGator knows what it takes to keep customers happy.
They’ve also streamlined the hosting process so that you don’t have to have your websites scattered with various hosting companies. They can handle everything you have and they give you unlimited space and unlimited domain hosting with most plans.
Three of HostGators shared hosting plans are the Hatchling Plan, the Baby Plan and the Business Plan. Most new businesses – especially Internet marketers just learning the ropes, choose to go with either the Hatchling or the Baby Plan, with either effectively meeting their initial needs.
With the Hatchling Plan, you can get set up for as little as $3.96 a month if you pay for service for three years at a time. If three years seems too long for you, then paying for it by the year is only $5.56 for the twelve months, and the monthly plan for this one would be $7.16.
The Baby Plan is not much more, and you can compare their plans if you go to the HostGator Website. They always have specials running, too – so be sure to check and see what current pricing is.

HostGator even offers a great way to make money if you take part in their reseller hosting plan. If you’re looking to start a business, then creating a web hosting company is one option, and reasonably simple to launch. Of course it can also be very profitable.
You might want to be a little Tech Savvy though, starting out, because you will end up ‘fixing’ things plus setting up customer’s domains. It is not all that difficult to learn and HostGator do provide training and assistance.
You can select what features you want to offer from your own hosting service and the only one who earns the profit from the reselling is you.
Of course some online marketers actually go for this reseller account straight up, just for their own sites, as it enables you to keep each one separate. Each has their own cPanel and this makes it easier should you ever wish to sell a website.
It would be a shame in this HostGator Review to leave off placing some of the spotlight onto the company’s dedicated servers.
When your business grows, this is something you’ll want to invest in because you can have full control over your hosting environment unlike with shared servers.
If you look at the Hosting plans HostGator offers, their willingness to give discounts, their determination to make customer service a pleasant experience, then there really is no reason not to have your hosting needs served by them for now and for years to come.
I definitely have to give them a 5 out of 5 Star Rating. HostGator comes highly recommended.
