For many this is the stuff that dreams are made of. More and more people are getting the vision of having their own business they run from home, only spending a few hours a week (compared to their regular job), earn way more money, and having the freedom to come and go as they please!
Many are turning to looking online to fulfill their dream. There are indeed many ways to make money online, however, deciding on what suits you is just the tip of the iceberg.
You can choose between selling physical products and digital products, ebay, network or multi-level marketing, selling other people’s products or creating your own, adsense and content sites…. the list goes on. And if that isn’t enough you then have to sift out the ‘wheat from the chaff’. That is a ‘nice’ way to say, the good stuff from the scams, cause there are more and more of them every day.
The road to financial freedom is getting longer, windier and steeper with each passing day, and at the same time there has probably never been as much opportunity for creating a business online as there is today.
One thing you do need to remember, that anyone who is offering an overnight solution to online riches, is probably telling ‘porky-pies’ (lies). Well they are either leading you up the garden path, or they will give you the outline to how you can make money online, but omit all the details that could actually make that possible, and of course they don’t tell you just how much there is to learn.
Truth be told, it is not an easy task helping all sorts of different people get started online. Everyone is different, not just in the fact that frequently they differ in nationality, financial status, available time and resources and support. As someone trying to teach this vast array of willing students it is difficult to know just what each individual needs right at that point in time.
One of the first things you need is someone or a few people you can trust. Don’t just believe everything you read and hear, take note and compare notes.
7 tips to help you start to make money online:

Don’t rush into anything! As tempting as it will be, remember your first task is to research, research, research and when you are done with that do some more research! You need to find out as much as possible about the different methods for making money online and narrow the field down to one or two. Aim to get as much information for free so that you can make a choice that will suit you, your lifestyle and your starting budget.

Find people who are working online, who have the type of business that you think you want for yourself. Sign up to their list and resist buying anything (at least in the beginning), until you have created for yourself a well formed plan of action. Once you have that plan of action then…

Work out your budget! This will be critical. You must have a very clear understanding how much disposable income you have to put towards your new business. While many imply you can start up for nothing, there will be costs. Yes, the costs can be minimized in the beginning, but there will be costs, so don’t make the mistake of going into large sums of credit card debt thinking this next product will solve all your problems and give you the life you dream of. It is going to take work. Sorry, but that is the truth, it will be work, sometimes difficult (untily you get your skill levels up), often frustrating, but can also be very rewarding. Find a system to follow that will help you achieve your goals, and make sure that the only things you purchase are things that you can actually afford and things that will definitely fit into the plan of action you have created. It’s no good buying some course on making money one ebay, if you have already decided that you are going to use blogging as your vehicle to wealth. (Not to say somewhere down the track you might integratae, eBay, but don’t be jumping on that till you have achieved the goals you have outlined in your original plan.

Find a mentor. I have always found this to be a difficult one. The fact is the most successful people online will command a very high fee for their consultation and tuition, even if it comes in the form of a course. So this is something you need to consider carefully. You might want to start with someone who does not have such a high profile, see how that goes, learn what you can and then maybe move on as your skills and business grows.

Set yourself realistic goals. You might want to stretch yourself a bit, but don’t make it way out there. Small successes give you a foundation to build upon.

Finally, don’t give up! Persistence and determination will win out in the end, just make sure you support yourself with all the appropriate planning in the first place. Set yourself up to suceeed.
